Will wearing a helmet be worth your while? This decision depends heavily on your circumstances. Due to their cost, bulkiness and invisibility they tend to be used by military, law enforcement officers or security professionals only as protection.
Trauma to the head is often more immediately life-threatening than trauma to other parts of the body, including heart organs. Traumatic brain injury may result in sudden loss of consciousness, extensive brain damage and irreparable nerve damage - in such instances a flak jacket helmet could prove invaluable in protecting civilians in such critical moments.
Blunt force trauma remains a serious risk even when wearing protective equipment like ballistic or tactical helmets, such as bulletproof vests. Force from bullets or blunt forces may still penetrate to the skull and brain, potentially resulting in concussions, traumatic brain injuries or even fatalities. Although absorbed by helmets, energy from impacts may still result in internal bleeding, brain swelling or bruises which result in irreparable or long-term harm; while helmets will stop bullets penetrating the skull but cannot prevent all forms of injuries to either head or brain injuries from penetrating through.
A quality helmet contains multiple layers of composite materials designed to disperse energy of blunt force impact more effectively. Our factory-made bulletproof helmets use multidirectional impact Protection system (MIPS), which enables rotation upon impact thereby minimizing rotational forces that could potentially cause brain damage. Furthermore, each helmet lining uses foam or gel materials that absorb and distribute impact force more evenly across its surface thereby minimizing risk for local trauma.

Will Ballistic Helmets Stop Bullets?
Bulletproof helmets can significantly decrease the risk of penetration; however, they do not provide full-proof protection. A three-level bulletproof helmet was specifically designed to offer protection from handgun and rifle bullets; for added coverage a full tactical helmet can provide additional coverage that still meets established protection standards.
Also, bulletproof helmets typically don't allow bullets to hit within inches of the head in tests, meaning close-range damage is unlikely. While no bulletproof helmet can provide 100 percent protection from bullets firing close up, wearing one is much safer than going without. Furthermore, modern technology offers impressive levels of protection and can save lives in various circumstances.
How Should I Clean and Store My Ballistic Helmet?
Maintaining the integrity of the helmet is just as important as the initial setup.
Clean - Mild soap and water work well. You want to avoid harsh chemicals that will degrade the material. We recommend using a soft cloth to remove dirt and do not scratch the surface.
Storage - Keep the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can sometimes weaken the structural integrity of the helmet. Use a helmet bag or padded case to protect the helmet from accidental drops or collisions.
